Vetusta Morla cuenta con compañía especial en su nuevo tema benéfico ‘Los abrazos prohibidos’

Artistas como Santi Balmes, Dani Martín, Eva Amaral o Rozalén, entre otros, han participado junto a la banda madrileña en este tema que recauda dinero para la investigación de la COVID-19.

Vetusta Morlaha reunido a algunos de los mejores artistas del panorama nacional en su nueva canción Los abrazos prohibidos. La banda madrileña no había sido partícipe de ningún proyecto durante este confinamiento, pero el pasado miércoles nos sorprendió con la noticia de esta gran colaboración.

El tema tiene cierta inspiración en el poema El vals de los salvavidas, comenzado por Benjamín Prado y Elvira Sastre, escrito en apoyo a la sanidad pública. Este fue más tarde completado por los versos de artistas como Andrés Suárez, Jorge Drexler, Leiva o Rozalén, entre otros. El mismo Prado y Guille Galván, letrista y músico en Vetusta Morla, han sido los que han adaptado la canción para crear Los abrazos prohibidos.

El tema, nacido de la unión de músicos de todos los géneros, tiene un fin benéfico. Como explicaban desde su cuenta de Twitter, el dinero que recauden irá destinado a la investigación de la COVID-19por parte del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas(CSIC).

En la canción han participado artistas de toda la escena nacional. Cuenta con cantautoras noveles en el panorama indie, como Alice Wonder, además de con cantantes de largo recorrido, como Santi Balmes (Love of Lesbian), Dani Martíno Joaquín Sabina, entre muchos otros.

Una canción por y para los sanitarios

La canción va dedicada a todos los sanitarios que se están jugando la vida durante la pandemia. Solo hace falta escuchar con atención la letra, toda una oda a la sanidad pública. Frases como “por los que hacen del trabajo sucio la labor más hermosa del mundo” o “porque ya os habéis ganado a pulso el aplauso más largo del mundo, respeto y dignidad” erizan el vello de todo aquel que escucha la canción.

El vídeo nos muestra a sanitarios y sanitarias reales, que poco a poco se quitan su protección para enseñar que detrás de las mascarillas y los equipos de protección individual también hay personas. Durante el videoclip también podemos ver a los artistas que han participado en la canción, que al final dedican un aplauso a todos aquellos trabajadores esenciales.

Algunos de los cantantes que han participado en la canción han anunciado el tema también en sus redes sociales. Todos coincidían en el gran trabajo que había detrás de este proyecto con fines solidarios, y algunos, como Maika Makovski, también resaltaban la importancia de cuidar la sanidad pública.

Reinterpretando Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar

La banda madrileña se encontraba en medio de una gira en la que presentaban su nuevo trabajo, MSDL– Canciones dentro de canciones, un álbum experimental en el que las canciones de su último disco cogían una forma totalmente distinta. En diciembre nos sorprendían con la noticia, que iba acompañada del primer adelanto, Palmeras en La Mancha – MSDL.

Debido a la pandemia, el proyecto fue aplazado, pero Vetusta Morla ya ha anunciado que el próximo 22 de mayo podremos disfrutar de todos los secretos de MSDL – Canciones dentro de canciones. De momento, Los abrazos prohibidos, que no formará parte del disco, nos amenizará la espera.
