La cantante Charli XCX se pone las pilas durante la cuarentena y crea how I’m feeling.

Charli XCX ha dedicado el tiempo libre durante la cuarentena en crear un nuevo álbum con 11 nuevas canciones titulado how i’m feeling now, su cuarto disco. En los nuevos temas se ha enfocado en el tema del amor y en su larga relación con su pareja, como el nombre de una canción 7 years, los años que llevan juntos.

Si hay un elemento que destaca la música de Charli es el uso de efectos y una dura producción que muchas veces la utiliza sobre la pista de su voz. La voz peculiar de la cantante también ayudada con efectos de distorsión y auto tune crea una melodía única y es una marca personal. En una misma canción podemos encontrar elementos de POP, electrónica y trap.

Forever, el primer single del álbum, 7 years y enemy son tres canciones que se centran en la relación actual de la cantante. En enemy da un giro a la frase de ‘mantén a tus amigos cerca, pero a tus enemigos aun más’ y pregunta si tener a tu pareja como el ser más cercano a ti puede convertirlo en tu enemigo en un futuro. “Podrías hacerme daño, podrías cortarme más profundamente. Tal vez, tú eres mi enemigo”.

Charli también se ha dedicado por Instagram a colgar diferentes trabajos creados por sus fans. Después de anunciar los nombres de las canciones los fans se lanzaron a crear portadas creativas sobre estas y la cantante escogió 4 para publicarlas.

El álbum finaliza con visions, que la misma cantante la denomina como una canción para una rave. La elección de finalizar el disco de esta manera es para darle un toque único y que acabe dejando con una buena sensación y no con una despedida.
